As your landlord, Bellsmyre Housing Association has a legal obligation to ensure that gas appliances, pipework and flues are maintained in a safe condition. We do this by instructing our main gas contractor, City Technical Services, to carry out annual gas safety checks to all of our properties. Their engineers are Gas Safe registered and they will issue you with a copy of a gas safety certificate upon completion of the annual gas safety check.
We aim to carry out all annual gas safety checks within a 10 month period to allow for any access issues which may arise.
We are delighted to report that last year between 1st April 2011 and 31st March 2012, 100% of annual gas safety checks were completed within the required 12 month timescale.
