We are starting to review the following policies and would very much like to hear your views on each:
Resident Participation Policy
This is the document which outlines how we plan to consult with tenants and owners on issues that affect them.
We would like to ensure that our involvement with you goes beyond just keeping you informed and consulting you from time to time.
Our aim is to work together in partnership so that all residents have the opportunity to feel part of the decision making on their housing and their environment / area.
We would therefore like to gather as many residents' views as possible on how we can best achieve this.
Rent Setting & Services Charges Policies.
We currently have two separate policies and we would like to combine both these policies in this review.
The review is not about charging more rent to increase our income.
The aim is to look at the principles behind which we set our rents to ensure that our policy is simple, fair and easy to understand as well as ensuring that our rents remain affordable.
We want to take account of tenants' views in deciding what, if any, changes to make.
We need your views to help us get it right. Your comments and opinions will play a major role in helping to shape how your rent is formulated in the future.
The first phase of gathering your views on the above policies will be in the form of a separate questionnaire for each.
Please therefore download these forms , complete and return to Karen Byrne, our Housing Manager.
Further opportunities for you to let us know your views will be available over the next few months before a draft report on our findings in presented to our Management Committee in March 2012 e.g. at residents' meetings/Open Days to be arranged as appropriate
