The Community Hall provides a place within the community where: social activities and events can take place, local groups can meet, and other agencies can deliver their services for the people of Blairtummock and Rogerfield.
The hall has a fully licensed bar and has been used for lots of different functions such as: christenings, communions, birthday parties and anniversary celebrations.
The work of the hall enables Blairtummock HA to raise its profile within the community and be recognised as more than a housing provider by residents and external stakeholders.
The development and subsequent operation of BCH is an aspect of the Housing Association’s Community Regeneration work. This work is carried can be characterised as trying to go “beyond bricks and mortar” in the work that Housing Association’s do within the communities that they are based.
