CHOICE BASED LETTINGS
Drumchapel Housing Co-operative Limited operates a Choice Based Lettings system of allocations which allows people who are on our Housing Register to CHOOSE the houses that match their housing need for which they wish to be considered. However, in selecting who will be given the offer of a house, the Co-operative will take account of the applicant's household needs.
The Co-operative maintains a lettings database which provides brief details of all houses that are available for let. A property schedule is prepared and will include the following details as appropriate to each void property:
- address of property
- size of property (number of bedrooms)
- accommodation description
- heating type
- monthly rent
- closing date
THE HOUSING REGISTER
The Co-operative maintains a database of all persons aged 16 years and over who wish to be considered for housing and this is referred to as the Housing Register. This is the only register we maintain - there is no separate register for current tenants applying for an internal transfer.
All applicants on the Housing Register will be eligible to apply for any house offered by the Co-operative, unless their household would overcrowd the property or their application has been put on hold.
You can download a housing application pack from the document library by clicking on the link on this page or on request from our office.
