Faifley Housing Association was set up in 1991 by a group of tenants living in the Council owned maisonettes in Faifley. At that time, there were 321 maisonettes, all of which were in a poor state of repair. With the support of the Council and Scottish Homes, we became registered as a Housing Association and in April 1992, the tenants transferred to Faifley Housing Association.
Our first phase of improvements was completed in 1994 and by March 2005 we had completed all 9 phases of our development programme.
We currently own and manage 340 properties and provide a factoring service for 16 owners within our own housing stock.
Our Housing stock breakdown consists of:
103 newbuild houses
32 four in a block newbuild flats
202 other flats/maisonettes
We are run by local residents who have a clear idea of what is needed and it is our aim to provide good quality, affordable housing to our tenants and make Faifley a better place to live in.
We also continue to strive to identify and develop wider role initiatives which will benefit the whole community. This also involves joint working with Knowes Housing Association who is also a Landlord within the Faifley area.
