Apply for a House

Who can apply for housing?
Pineview Housing Association Ltd operates an open access housing list and anyone aged 16 or over can be admitted to the housing list.

Assessment of Need
Applications are assessed in accordance with the Association’s Allocations Policy which adheres to the principals of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 to ensure reasonable preference for housing is given to persons who:

  • Are living in sub standard accommodation; or
  • Are occupying overcrowded houses; or
  • Are living under unsatisfactory housing conditions; or
  • Are homeless or threatened with homelessness

We will write to you within 10 days of all information being provided and tell you the points you have been awarded, the size of property you are eligible for and your priority on the waiting list.  We will also provide you with an indication of the number of properties we have and turnover in the area you wish to live.

Assistance
If you find any of the questions difficult to answer or if you require assistance with communication, please call us on 944 3891 and a member of staff will assist you or give you an appointment to meet with the Allocations Officer who will be happy to help.
