    A local debt advice service has been given funding for a year to help mitigate the impact of welfare reforms.  A debt advice officer (Dorothy Divers, CAB) will be working out of the Cernach HA office every Thursday from 12/01/17.  The service if for all local tenants.  Appointments can be booked by phoning Cernach on 0141 944 3860.  If you would like Pineview to make the appointment on your behalf please just let us know.

    On Sunday 17 May 2015 three members of staff from Pineview Housing Association participated in their first ever10k Mud Rush!  Joyce Orr, Janie Preston and Tony Walker, aka the Muddy Buddies, ran, jogged, climbed and crawled their way round Scotland's largest assault course in aid of Visibility - a local sight loss charity for Glasgow and the West of Scotland

    There will also be a Recovery Drop in at the Drumchapel Community Centre on Monday 20-10-2014 and every Monday there after from 3pm until 6pm(EVERY WEEK) for everyone in recovery, keen to access recovery or with an interest in promoting recovery.

    Help to improve social landlord services…

    The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) regulates all social landlords in Scotland, and is setting up a new National Panel for users of social landlord services.  All people who use social landlord services are invited to join the Panel – including tenants, homeless households, home owners who receive factoring or common repairs services, and Gypsies/Travellers using Council or housing association sites.  Every new Panel member will be entered into a prize draw to win one of 6 x £50 prizes.

    This is to remove the build up of algae and mould growth that has built up over the years, and to prolong the life of the timber fencing, in addition to enhancing your neighbourhood.

    Drumchapel L.I.F.E., the voluntary organisation is working in partnership with agencies including Glasgow’s Regeneration Agency, the Centre for Contemporary Arts and WochenKlausur (an artist collective in Vienna, Austria) to start an exciting project to create a women led workers’ cooperative. We are also talking to universities and colleges about getting involved.

    An incident took place on Sunday 28/10/12 at 150 Ladyloan Avenue involving the theft of lead flashing.

    If anyone knows anything of this incident/hears anything about it then I would urge you to contact either the police or the Association in order to help identify who is responsible.  The incident number relating to this crime is FP-2012-10-28-2093.

    A NEW Tenants Forum for tenants of Pineview?

    We are always looking for ways to provide the best possible housing service to local residents.  We want your views on setting up a new Tenants Forum, open to all tenants aged 16 and beyond.  A tenants’ forum would give local people the opportunity to meet with us on a regular basis to share ideas and suggestions, helping to make sure Pineview tenants get the best service possible.      

    An open meeting has been arranged for Thursday 30th August 2012, 6.00pm at Drumchapel Community Centre. The purpose of this meeting is to explain how the forum might work, and to see who is interested in getting involved.

    The Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR) is asking for your views on its proposed report to tenants on their landlord’s performance on the indicators for the Scottish Government’s Social Housing Charter.

    The Scottish Parliament agreed the Charter in February 2012.  It sets out standards and outcomes that describe the results that tenants and other service users can expect from landlords.

  • Tenant Fined For Allowing Their Dog to Foul in Play Area!

    Images of a Pineview tenant failing to pick up their dog’s mess from a play area were caught on CCTV this month.  The result was that the tenant received a £40 Fixed Penalty Fine from Glasgow City Council, which if not paid within 28 days will increase to £60.
