Apply for a House

Tollcross Housing Association is located within the East End of Glasgow. Our association comprises of around 2278 properties. The Association also has 2 sheltered housing complex's located in the Carmyle and Lily bank areas of Tollcross. On our Guide to Applying for a House will detail last year’s voids and lets and give you a more in depth guide as to how we allocate our properties.

Who can apply?

Anyone aged 16 or over may apply to the Association. To obtain a Housing Application Form and Guide to Applying for a House you can either download an application form from our website or call in to our office situated at 213 Braidfauld Street where a member of our housing management team will be happy to assist you.

Please ensure when downloading the application form from our website that you download the guide to applying for a house also, as this can help you when completing the application form.

Sending your form back

When submitting your completed application form to the Association you will recieve a letter acknowledging receipt of your application within 10 working days. Please remember that proof of identification and address should also be provided in order to finalise your application. Some examples of documentation required are as follows:

* Driving Licence or Passport

* Birth Certificate

* Utility bill or Bank statement

* Tax credit or child benefit award letter

* National insurance card or a DSS award letter
 

When all the relevant information is received we will process your application within 10 working days and we will send you a letter detailing your total points amount. If you feel that your points amount at any time is inaccurate you can contact a member of the housing management team where we will re-assess your application. Please note that if you wish to apply for additional points such as family support all relevant documentation and letters of support must be provided.

It is also important that if anything changes within your current situation such as a change of address or having a new baby you must contact the Association immediately. Such changes may affect your total points amount or your priority need for housing.
