Stair Cleaning and Maintenance
Stair Cleaning
The Association introduced a weekly stair cleaning service in 2004.
Depending on the area you live in, your close and stairs will be cleaned once a week and the stairhead windows and ground floor tiles will be cleaned once per month.
The specification includes:
Brushing ground floor entrance area, stairs, landings, collecting all rubbish and removing to bins;
Washing ground floor entrance, stair treads, risers and landings;
Brush dust from railings and handrails.
If any resident would like to make a comment, good or bad, about the stair cleaning contract, then please contact your Housing Officer at the Association’s offices.
Back Court Maintenance
The Association employs a landscape contractor to help maintain the standards of the back court and communal areas.
The contract includes:
Grass cutting; Shrub maintenance; Hedge cutting.
There is also a litter collection carried out every two weeks in the back court and bin stores are cleaned out once per week.
Bulk Uplift – if any residents have bulk rubbish to be removed, the Association would ask that it is put in the bin store area, the night before where the contractor will remove it to the front of the street for uplift by the Cleansing Department.
Where it is a public holiday the Association will make alternative arrangements for bulk rubbish to be removed.
If any residents wishes to make a comment, good or bad, about either service, then please contact your Housing Officer at the Association’s office.
There are sign off sheets in every close, where the stair cleaning and backcourt maintenance are carried out. These sheets detail when the work was last carried out.
