Who can apply for housing
Anyone aged 16 or over may apply to the Association. The Association holds its own Housing List. The Association will be implementing our new Allocations Policy on 30th September 2010. Our new policy is a Group and Priority system, where applicatns are placed in a group and given a prioity based on their housing needs.
Note - the application is not available currently to download from the website.
If you would like a Housing Application Pack please contact the office in person, phone 0141 889 7105 or e-mail admin @psha.org.uk with your request.
A full copy of our Housing Allocations Policy can also be downloaded from the Documents to Download page.
Sending the form back to us
You can either post it back to us by post or hand it in to our office.
When you send it back, please remember that a standard 1st or 2nd class postage stamp will not cover the costs. You should take your form to a post office and have it weighed.
Transfers for Existing Association Tenants
If you are already one of our tenants you can apply for a transfer. A transfer may be required due to change in your household size which results in overcrowding and/or for health reasons.
The Association uses the same application form for transfers as for housing applicants. You can apply for a transfer by requesting an application form as detailed above.
Processing your application
When you apply for a house, your application will be processed and the information you provide will be used to assess your housing needs and calculate your group and priority award. We would normally process this within 10 calendar days and you will receive a letter detailing the Group, Priority, Award Date and house size you are being considered for.
We will provide applicants with information on what properties we have in an area and the likelihood of properties becoming available.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any queries regarding your housing application.
Mutual Exchanges
You can also request to exchange your home by mutual agreement with either another Housing Association tenant or Council tenant. We keep a Mutual Exchange Register of all the people who are seeking to exchange their home. If you are interested in a mutual exchange please contact our office on 0141 889 7105.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have a right to see personal data held on you whether in manual or computer records. The Association charges an administration fee of £10 to cover the costs of complying with a formal request under the Act.
