Tenant Participation
What does tenant participation mean?
The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 introduced new responsibilities for housing associations to implement tenant participation strategies.
Trafalgar consults with tenants in a variety of ways including public meetings, newsletters and other mailings, tenant satisfaction surveys etc on issues that are likely to affect your tenancy. Examples of issues that we have consulted tenants on in the past are rent levels/increases, changes to policies and procedures and wider role projects such as improvements to the Boquhanran Tunnel and the Pocket Park area. We have also carried out tenant satisfaction surveys to find out what tenants think of the association and how satisfied you are with the services we provide.
We value the opinion of our tenants and would be delighted if you wanted to become more involved in the activities of the association. This could involve things such as sitting on a 'focus group' for policy review or writing articles for newsletters etc. If you are interested in becoming more involved in any particular issue, please contact the office and speak to the appropriate member of staff.
