Tenancy Support Officer for Hillhead

TENANCY SUPPORT SERVICE
We are delighted that, as a result of funding being made available by the Scottish Government, the Mungo Foundation has been appointed to provide Tenancy Support Services to Hillhead and Antonine Housing Associations until the end of March 2011.
The Mungo Foundation has a long history of providing support to people with a wide range of difficulties whether these are life long such as sight or hearing problems, learning disability etc; or difficulties at a particular period in their lives such as homelessness, addiction, young adults leaving care etc.
Their local Support Worker is Jackie Hardie (pictured above) who will be based in our office at 60 Highfield Road.
Just a few examples of issues which Jackie can support people to get help with are :
· drug and/or alcohol abuse
· depression and other mental health issues
· coping with bereavement
· coping with disability
· managing your tenancy
· managing your money
· dealing with household bills, benefit claims etc.
· dealing with other organisations such as gas and electricity suppliers.
The service is voluntary and confidential. It is not linked to Social Work or any other statutory agency although we may ask for permission to involve other agencies if we think they can help.
