Gas Servicing
As your landlord, we have a legal responsibility to ensure that gas appliances, pipework and flues are maintained in a safe condition.
We do this by carrying out an Annual Gas Safety Check. These are currently carried out by City Technical Services, our main gas contractor. All City Technical’s Engineers are Gas Safe Regisitered.
When your Annual Gas Safety Check is carried out, the engineer will leave you with a copy of the gas safety certificate.
We aim to carry out all Annual Gas Safety Checks within 10 months to allow time to deal with any access issues that arise. We do understand that some tenant’s have to take time off work to get these checks carried out and we appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
Please do remember that we are legally obliged to carry out these checks and they are also done to ensure the safety of the gas appliances within your home.
We are delighted to report that last year between 1st April 2009 – 31st March 2010 we were able to carry out 99% of our Annual Gas Safety Checks within the required 12 month timescale.
