Looking for an IT qualification?
Faifley Housing Association has joined forces with the Elite Training and Consultancy agency to promote government funded education for young people, the long term unemployed and those who are economically inactive in Scotland.
Industry Alliance for jobs – Background info
The European Alliance on Skills for Employability was established in January 2006 to help better co-ordinate industry and community efforts and enhance the positive impact of IT literacy and training on employability prospects of unemployed people, those with disabilities and older workers. The Alliance is committed to providing technology opportunities, content and training to 20 million people in Europe by 2010.
In line with this commitment, Elite Training and Consultancy, in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and the SFHA, are offering funded places on Microsoft Word and Excel courses, leading to the MCAS qualification.
In conjunction with UWS, Elite/SFHA are offering the MCAS qualification – Microsoft Certified Application Specialist. This is a 12 week programme which will help students gain valuable skills on the most popular Microsoft Office programmes – e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel 2007.
